Global Leader for the GE Water Program

Kristin Morico is the Global Leader for the GE Water Program.

Her responsibilities include development and implementation of associated programs across all of GE and works closely with GE's business segments to advance environmental policies, directives and objectives to proactively attain and sustain compliance.

What is one of the most memorable moments you have about your academic experience at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies? 

My experience at Yale was memorable in part due to the professional networks formed while attending as well as  the transparent, open venue the school offers, which always fostered insightful discussions with diverse student groups.

What career advice would you offer a current student interested in pursuing a career in corporate sustainability?

Having a strong regulatory background is important.    Taking advantage of business courses will be helpful to provide tools for you to influence and shape strategy with business operations and other functional teams in the context of developing and implementing sustainability goals and objectives within a corporate framework.

What challenges do you believe corporations will face in the next 5 years implementing sustainability practices within their organizations?  

I believe that the most significant challenge most organizations will be faced with includes developing/implementation the next generation of sustainability goals.
