Gift Opportunities - Endowment Funds:
There are numerous ways to contribute to the work happening at CBEY. We'd love to connect and find the opportunity that matches your interests.
$15 million and up: Name the Center for Business and Environment at Yale
Your gift will provide funding to support CBEY’s ongoing activities and critical resources for innovation, ensuring that the Center continues to catalyze new research, educate leaders, and cultivate partnerships that advance business solutions to global environmental problems.
$6 million: Name a Full Professorship
CBEY’s future development and growth is dependent on the excellence of the faculty in both SOM and F&ES, especially the addition of new faculty members, to build and strengthen specific areas of expertise. Endowing a full professorship allows the schools to recruit a leading scholar into the CBEY community.
$3 –5 million: Name a Visiting Executive Fellowship
Your gift will allow CBEY to develop a Visiting Executive Fellows program, bringing leading practitioners to campus to teach and share the latest innovations and thinking from the private, non-profit, and public sectors.
$3 million: Name the Center Director Position
Your gift will ensure strong leadership for CBEY and give the Center Director more resources to focus on supporting joint degree students, the SOM MBA for Executives program in sustainability, and on curriculum enhancements such as global online courses and new case studies.
$1 million and up: Name a Curriculum, Research and Case Study Development Fund
Your gift will provide long-term flexibility and responsiveness by addressing important environmental topics and trends as they emerge over the future of the joint degree program. It is imperative that research, courses and case studies continue to evolve so students are equipped to effectively take on leadership roles that shape our shared future.
$1.25 million: Name a Full Joint-Degree Scholarship
Scholarships are critically important in continuing to attract top talent to the joint degree program between SOM and F&ES. By endowing a full scholarship for a joint degree student you will ensure that the full cost of tuition is covered for the three year term of their studies.
$100,000 and up: Name a Partial Joint-Degree Scholarship
Your gift will generate long term support for students in the three-year, joint master’s program between Yale SOM and F&ES. The greater financial burden associated with the third year of study deters many talented students from applying to the program, making scholarships an urgent funding need.
Gift Opportunities - Spendable, Current-Use Funds
$250,000: Name an Entrepreneurship/Innovation Fund
Your gift will create a spendable fund to expand the Center’s activities advancing entrepreneurship and innovation, including the following:
- Executive Mentors: bringing leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to campus to mentor, teach and inspire
- Student Innovation Program: students “pitch” their vision of the future direction of work, research or study at the business and the environment interface at Yale, winning funding to then develop the vision into action
- Seed Stage Grants: provide seed funds for eco-ventures in support of product R&D, incorporation, market surveying, and product or service prototyping. These grants foster the involvement of students and faculty in creating competitive commercial enterprises that market viable products, services, and projects with environmental benefits for society.
$100,000 and up: Name a Curriculum, Research, and Case Study Development Fund
Your gift will provide immediate flexibility and responsiveness in addressing important environmental topics and trends as they emerge over the near future of the joint degree program. It is imperative that courses continue to evolve so students have an understanding of complicated concepts that will shape our shared future.
$100,000 and up: Extending CBEY’s Reach
Your gift will help CBEY have an impact beyond Yale through the dissemination of the Center’s expertise through products such as world-class online resources for professionals in clean energy finance and conservation finance; a webinar/podcast series; and global surveys to identify opinions and attitudes of today’s business students and leaders. Naming opportunities are available.
