Jake is a first year joint degree candidate. Jake is eager to use his experience as a joint degree to help companies and other organizations build sustainability into their strategy and operations to drive business growth, increase brand value, and manage risk. Prior to joining Yale, Jake worked for The Aspen Institute Business and Society Program, ran operations for a local food distribution startup in NYC, and launched his own loose leaf tea company. He also spent two years in China as a Fulbright research scholar evaluating the benefits and risks of major water transfer, irrigation, drought management, and hydropower projects in Yunnan Province.

Jake is a proud graduate of Carleton College where he holds a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies and a language certificate in Mandarin Chinese. In his free time he enjoys biking, cooking, and losing golf balls on the Yale Course.
