Chris Martin is a second-year MBA-Master of Forestry Candidate at the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He is interested in conservation finance and tropical forest conservation (particularly in the Amazon). He recently finished a summer fellowship in Brazil in the forestry department of Klabin S.A., the largest paper producer in Latin America, where he worked with forest management operations and developed a green bond concept. Prior to Yale, Chris worked as Program Associate of the Andes-Amazon Initiative at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and as a consultant for business development in the Rio de Janeiro office of Pro-Natura International. Chris is from Connecticut, but has spent over eleven years living outside of the US in Asia, Europe, and South America. He graduated summa cum laude in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Chris is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.
