This panel will involve Lise Dondy, President of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and Howard Berke, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Konarka. It will be moderated by Anastasia O'Rourke, a PhD student at Yale focused on the cleantech sector and venture capital.
As more and more entrepreneurs become focused on developing technologies and solutions to combat global warming, advance our nation's energy independence, and confronting the significant environmental challenges of our time, we are seeing a rapid increase in investments in new cleantech companies by venture capitalists.
This conversation will explore the market drivers for venture capitalists, investment trends and deal flow, emerging technologies and business model innovations, what investors are looking for in entrepreneurs and start-up companies, and the extent of the environmental benefits being created by cleantech investors and entrepreneurs.
