Carbon Finance 2008

Theodore Roosevelt IV, Chairman of the Lehman Brothers Council on Global Climate Change and Managing Director, Investment Banking, Lehman Brothers, will discuss the opportunities to advance climate change and conservation solutions via financial markets and mechanisms for greenhouse gas emissions.

Mr. Roosevelt joined Lehman Brothers in 1972 and has since served in numerous leadership capacities throughout the firm, including as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lehman Brothers Financial Products Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lehman Brothers Derivative Products Inc.  In his current role as Chairman of Lehman Brothers' Council on Climate Change, Mr. Roosevelt will harness the firm's extensive client network for insights and solutions for the environmental and business risks associated with global warming and climate change. 

An active conservationist, Mr. Roosevelt's leadership roles include, among others, serving as: chair of the Pew Center for Global Climate Change, co-vice chair of the Alliance for Climate Protection, and board member of the World Resources Institute.  He also served as a board member of the League of Conservation Voters for nine years; three of which, he served as the Chairman. At Yale, he is a member of the Leadership Council at the School of the Forestry & Environmental Studies.
