On the occasion of the World Business Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has launched the Caring for Climate Series, a collection of new research studies and reports by leading investment, academic and civil society organizations. The six reports offer a broad range of perspectives on the roles of business, investors and governments in tackling climate change.

The following reports were introduced in Copenhagen:

• Best Practices and Policy Frameworks: the 2009 Survey of Caring for Climate Signatories. By GlobeScan.
• Emissions Reductions and Lower Carbon Intensity: Are We Making Progress? By Yale University, School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale

• Investor Leadership on Climate Change: An Analysis of the Investment Community's Role and Snapshot of Recent Investor Activity. By the Principles for Responsible Investment.
• Building a Green Recovery. By HSBC.
• Carbon Markets - the Simple Facts. By Mission Climat of Caisse des D pots.

About Caring for Climate

Caring for Climate provides a platform for companies committed to developing effective climate change policies, as well as a channel for the business community to contribute inputs and perspectives to key governmental deliberations. Since launching in July 2007, this joint UN Global Compact-UNEP initiative has emerged as the world's largest and most diversified business engagement platform on climate, with approximately 400 corporate signatories in over 65 countries.
