In line with her research, Professor Chertow will discuss how the interdisciplinary field of Industrial Ecology is already providing multiple corporate benefits, ranging from cost savings and enhanced profits to resource availability, thereby gaining an advantageous position in an industry's evolving structure. She will focus on a cooperative business strategy for resource sharing, industrial symbiosis, and the economic, environmental and community benefits achieved.
