Business as a Force for Good

All Events
Tuesday January 20, 2015, 11:45 a.m. — 12:45 p.m.
Evans Hall, Isaacson Classroom 4210

Please join us for a conversation with Bart Houlahan, co-founder of B Lab. He will discuss the global movement to use business as a force for good. Entrepreneurs, investors, policy makers, and consumers across the globe are uniting to redefine success in business. Come hear how the former head of AND 1 (the basketball footwear and apparel company) is now leading a non-profit that is helping to drive this global movement through a certification (Certified B Corps) that has attracted 1200 companies in 35 countries, and a new corporate form (Benefit Corporations) that has passed in 27 states.

This event is part of the GE Colloquium in Sustainability Leadership, a program of the Yale Center for Business and Environment, and supported by the GE Foundation, that brings business professionals and thought leaders to campus to help students understand the challenges of achieving sustainability, and to provide them with necessary skills to prepare for careers in this emerging sector.

Lunch will be served.
