Fast Company: Yale Idealists Slowing Global Warming through Forests

In July of 2008, Fast Company's Anya Kamenetz wrote an article entitled "Can Carbon Credits Slow Global Warming". This article highlighted Yale's idealistic forestry grads leading the way.

Join a panel of Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies alumni. This panel will explore careers at all levels of a firm in the forest investment sector and the evolving role of forest carbon and ecosystem service markets and finance.

Michael Coren is a consultant with Climate Focus. As a specialist in carbon markets and forestry, Mr. Coren has experience in applying voluntary and compliance market standards, and financial and carbon modelling in tropical forests.

Marc Hiller is an Associate with International Forestry Investment Advisors. Mr. Hiller is responsible for developing discounted cash flow models and conducting economic analyses for long-term forestry investments in the United States and emerging markets.

Jason Patrick is a Vice President at Merrill Lynch Commodities. Mr. Patrick is responsible for the bank's carbon business in the America's. He originates, structures and commercializes carbon for Bank of America's commodities business and its clients.

Mark Wishnie is Managing Director of Equator, LLC. With experience in Latin America, Mr. Wishnie oversees the development and management of the company's timberland businesses, including the tecnical review and due diligence of investment opportunities and coordination of Equator's timberland acquisition and management services.
